A pursuit to create the most exceptional tequila in the world.

Bella is the next expression of eight generations devoted to the art of tequila. Rooted in the Romo family's 200-year legacy in Amatitán, Bella is more than a spirit, it is a slower, more refined way to experience tequila.

Doña Gabriela Bella
de la Peña

The Pursuit of Bella is named in honour of Doña Gabriela "Bella" de la Peña, one of the first women of tequila, who carved her name into history by shaping an industry and creating a legacy. Remembered with affection, admiration and respect, her statue stands proudly as the only female at the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT) in Guadalajara.

Guillermo Romo R.

Today, Bella's legacy lives on through 7th-generation Guillermo Romo R. His vision is guided by artistry, patience, and integrity, values instilled in him by his role model and grandmother Bella.

Stewardship

Bella inspired generations through her vision, determination, and quiet strength. Alongside her husband, Don Guillermo Romo Celis, and later her son and grandson, Don Guillermo Romo de la Peña, and Guillermo Romo R., the family is responsible for the world's first Reposado and Extra Añejo. They also fought vehemently to help establish Mexico's first Denomination of Origin for tequila, an unprecedented act of preservation and pride, later recognised across the globe.

Today, Bella is remembered with admiration and respect. Her legacy lives on in every corner of the hacienda and continues to inspire her grandson, Guillermo Romo R., who carries the family story forward through The Pursuit of Bella, a commitment to creating the most exceptional tequila in the world.
